LifeShare Foundation Raises Eighty Thousand at Annual 5K
Oklahoma City, OK (Sept. 21, 2024) - On Saturday, September 21, the LifeShare Foundation hosted its sixth annual Little Red Heart Race in honor of Oklahomans impacted by organ, eye and tissue donation.
The Little Red Heart 5K’s mission is to celebrate life, remember those who were donors, pay tribute to those who received, offer hope to those who continue to wait and remember the lives lost waiting for the gift of life.
Over 800 individual and team registrants participated in the organization’s USATF Certified 5K race and one mile walk, raising a soaring $85, 519 on behalf of the LifeShare Foundation.
“We are thrilled with the success of this year’s Little Red Heart Race,” said Katy Smith, Chief Administrative Officer at LifeShare Network. “Our community went above and beyond in supporting organ, eye and tissue donation. Thank you to our dedicated teams and all those who participated in our fundraising efforts. Their unwavering support allows us to continue to save lives and inspire hope through donation.”
The LifeShare team is excited to continue growing the Little Red Heart Race event and providing more opportunities for donor and recipient families to get involved.
