LifeShare Unveils New Foundation
Oklahoma City (Oct. 11, 2017) – LifeShare Transplant Donor Services of Oklahoma unveiled the LifeShare Foundation at a Ribbon Cutting event earlier this week.
LifeShare is the federally designated organ procurement organization in the state of Oklahoma and is responsible for organ and tissue donation statewide.
The new Foundation will support activities and initiatives of LifeShare to help save more lives through organ, eye and tissue donation. It will serve to extend LifeShare’s philanthropic outreach in the community and will give LifeShare the opportunity to build partnerships across the state.
“We are incredibly excited about the launch of the LifeShare Foundation,” said Jeff Orlowski, President, and Chief Executive Officer of LifeShare. “In addition to extending LifeShare’s philanthropic outreach, the foundation will also give those affected by donation an outlet in their donation journey.”
Moving forward, the focus of the LifeShare Foundation is awareness of organ, eye and tissue donation, support of transplant recipients, including those waiting, and donor families, and research in donation.
